I have spent a tremendous time upgrading Earth 3D so that it will stay one of the best real time Earth 3D representation money can buy.
Many improvements have been developed, here is a short list:
- complete rewrite of the shaders using surface shaders.
- 3 new shaders for Atmosphere, Clouds and Ground.
- new simple editor, that connects the 3 shaders and calculates the right values for each shaders without having to tweak them separately
- clouds and ground now have normal mapping.
- new atmosphere shader offering better control and flexibility. It is possible to make any kind of halo, for even the most extreme large atmospheres.
- faster: the shaders have been optimized.
I have not tested them on iPhone and Android but they are Shader 2.0 compatible so they should work on these devices as well!
